OK-Cam Frequently Asked Questions

What is OK-Cam?

OK-Cam captures still images from a video stream or disk at specified intervals, then processes and uploads those images to a website via FTP or sends them via email. The captured images can be cropped, resized, and annotated with text captions.

No, OK-Cam works with still images, captured from a video stream or collected from disk.

Which video devices does it work with?

OK-Cam works with all Windows USB webcams & video capture boards. If it appears in Device Manager as a video source, the application will work with it.

Which digital cameras does it work with?

OK-Cam works with all digital cameras that have software to save images to disk at defined intervals. Many digital cameras have this software bundled with them. For example older Canon cameras work with Canon's RemoteCapture software, and Canon SLRs work with Canon's EOS Utility.

At what time intervals can images be captured?

Video image capture can be configured for any interval from 1 second upwards. Collection of an image file on disk can occur at timed intervals or whenever a new file appears.
